As a not-for-profit organization, our approach to providing services places emphasis on an atmosphere of camaraderie, laughter and creativity and on helping our residents achieve the dignity and quality of life that they deserve in their retirement years. Included in our low, monthly fee are three healthy meals, recreation and exercise programs, housekeeping, laundry service, local scheduled van transportation, medication management and 24-hour on-site professional nursing staff. Our safety and security features include brick construction, sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, an intercom entry system and emergency call systems in each resident’s private room. Residents are free to come and go as they please. With more than an acre of land, Southmayd Home is beautifully landscaped with gardens. Each resident may bring her own furniture and have installed a telephone and cable TV. Temporary residence at a higher daily rate is also available under the Southmayd Respite Care Program, providing the perfect solution for a loved one requiring extra recovery time following a hospital stay or rehabilitation.
